What is it?
The PRIMI (Individual Traceability and Indirect Monitoring Program) establishes procedures for individually tracing cattle and monitoring the socio-environmental performance of indirect suppliers to the meatpacking industry.
The program ensures complete control of cattle and indirect suppliers, connecting livestock farming, the food industry, and sustainability.
This way, each animal receives a unique numbering, managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, applied in tamper-proof and non-transferable ear tags and buttons. The data is registered on a digital platform and integrated into the National Database (BND).
Developed in partnership with technology companies and Sbcert, PRIMI has been used in sustainable livestock and traceability programs in different Brazilian states.
